Project Alert: Burlington Station

 

The groundbreaking was held in early 2017 for Burlington Station, a multifamily project in Downers Grove. This building has 89 residential units with one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 744 square feet to 1,573 square feet. The traditional architecture and design create an “at home” feel and complements the existing downtown community. The community is now leasing and will officially open in summer 2018.

 The City of Downers Grove Master Plan called for this project to be a mixed use building, but it became a challenge to find potential retail tenants. BSB Design worked alongside Holladay Properties to show the city the value of moving forward with a fully residential project, leaving the retail spaces out. After much collaboration and comprise, the plan was given the green light.
