BSB Design’s commercial studio doesn’t just deliver beautifully crafted retail, hospitality and commercial projects. They bring an integrated approach to clients that draws on expertise in concept execution and integration, constructability, design, procurement and branding to address complex issues.

Across our three California offices, we’re working with a range of clients – from small business owners to established multinational brands – to understand their business and customer experience goals and apply an in-depth knowledge of operations, approvals and design to brand development, ground up and renovation efforts. Just a few of our current projects include:

Homeboy Gallery, Los Angeles – Design of a new state-of-the-art gallery and café for LA-based Homeboy Industries located in the Grand, a Frank Gehry-designed mixed use complex in downtown LA’s Grand Avenue cultural district. The destination facilitates community and conversation over art and sculpture from across the urban realm in support of Homeboy’s compassion-based mission to support former gang members.

El Gallo Giro, Anaheim – Prototype design and roll-out for a newly established restaurant chain that offers diners a modern take on Mexican food and values. The restaurant’s food, beverage and bread specialties have influenced the layout, materials and colors to help this fledgling brand envision their potential far beyond initial locations in Southern California.
