This single family home has a high-end feel in a more efficient footprint to manage construction costs in order to reach empty nesters, active adults and young professionals. The result is a modern-transitional elevation on an open, 45′ wide footprint with light-filled interiors and entertaining spaces. The plan features a kitchen-centric layout for social connectivity to the great room, dining, and outdoor space. This home is a wonderful modern interpretation of the modest bungalow with upgraded features, expansive spaces and up to date lifestyle offerings that demonstrate the best of smaller floor plan design.

Single-Family Production, Category 2: Detached Home 2,001 – 2,500 sq. ft., Built for Sale

Crocker Village Alley Row Collection – Plan 6

Located in a new community in a high profile downtown Sacramento neighborhood, this home is truly one of a kind. The elevation seeks to inspire the “less is more” mindset. Spanish cottage styling is aimed to target classically-minded move-down buyers seeking a historical-old world yet urban feel. The 40′ wide alley load floor plan carves out a private outdoor courtyard within that feeds light, openness and views to all major living spaces.

Multifamily, Category 30: Student Housing

Academy 65

Located on the edge of the Sacramento State campus, this tight corner parcel offered tons of opportunity. The end result perfectly balances efficient units, four-sided architecture visibility and tons of amenity spaces for students to enjoy. The building’s main entry anchors its most dominant vertical massing element, a tower of glass capped by a modern angled roof. The open lobby cleverly uses angled partition walls and interior windows to divide different uses, such as the fitness room and leasing office.
