Residential Project Manager

Project Managers are responsible for guiding the overall management direction of existing and new projects. They also guide project planning, organizing and staffing by assigning key field positions through Draftspeople, Job Captains, subordinate Project Managers and other staff as needed. Managers create the vital team environments that our projects thrive in. They also identify and address the ongoing needs and concerns of clients and work to successfully satisfy them.
Responsibilities
- Direct all project communication including contracts, meetings, and contact with team members
- Prepare staffing requirements, schedules, budgets and fee projections
- Coordinate and supervise internal staff to meet established schedules and budgets as well as outside consultants
- Verify that all project work is done efficiently and in accordance with established office standards
- Research and coordinate building systems, materials and products, governing codes and regulation
- Coordinate agency submittals and answer requests for information (RFI’s)
- Review shop drawing, material submittals, and construction pay authorizations
- Attend construction coordination meetings at project sites and prepare field reports
- Maintain a positive atmosphere, motivating employees and maintaining staff morale at a high level
Skill Sets
- Leadership, communication, marketing, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency with Revit/BIM, Bluebeam
- Comfortable handling a broad range of functions and maintaining multiple projects in parallel sequence
- Ability to problem solve construction- and design-related issues
- Technical knowledge of high-density infill, Type V and Type III projects
- Extensive technical knowledge of building systems, codes, regulations and construction standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry drawing standards and production techniques
Education
- Bachelors of Architecture Degree or equivalent required
- Licensed or actively pursuing registration preferred
- Three to five years’ experience in assisting with all phases of a project.
