Senior Draftsperson / Senior Intern

Assists the Project Manager in producing quality construction documents in an efficient and profitable manner. Transforms initial schematic design by utilizing our custom AutoCAD system to produce working documents.


  • Uses AutoCAD, Revit, and manual processes to produce construction documents using instructions and pre-established guidelines set by others.
  • Review tentative plans for compliance with architectural controls, by-laws and building codes.
  • Interpret and implement building code changes.
  • Draft specification changes as needed.
  • Assist in the design and preparation of new home models and update existing models.
  • Develops complete set of construction documents including plans, elevations, details, sections, etc.
  • Proofreads own work and proofreads work of others.
  • May provide work direction to draftsperson(s) and training to production staff.
  • Generates architectural plans and artwork.
  • Communicates with builder regarding construction questions and any substantial plan changes.
  • Outside consultation coordination.


  • Works independently on assignments for Project Manager and Job Captain
  • Has knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • Design, graphic and computer skills a plus


  •  Associate’s degree in Drafting and/or Design. Three to six years of experience in the field or in a related area OR Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Three to five years of architectural office experience.
