We’ve Got Our Charette Together: Three Projects That Prove Our Success
At BSB Design, we believe in the power of the charette process – especially as part of an overall means for getting thoughtfully-designed new product to market faster and with greater return on investment. Participating in a charette with our clients gives us a chance to bounce ideas off each other, get immediate feedback and make changes in real time. The goal is to eliminate the “white space” by using collaboration to get to the final stages of planning. Want to know more about how our process can impact your bottom line?
projects that prove our Charette process is successful
Laureate Park in Lake Nona, FL
The entertaining courtyard was a very unique feature of this design, and we knew it would take face-to-face discussion to get it exactly right. BSB Design and the client worked collaboratively as a team to design and evaluate multiple options and choose the best solution for the Laureate Park home. This production home design has the look of a modern custom home and earned a 2017 Grand Aurora Award!
Monterey at Verde River
The Vista 1 Plus home design at Monterey at Verde River incorporated several special features such as the large glass doors that could be pushed aside leading to a backyard oasis, a hobby room, pool house and a “man cave.” Each person in the charette had the opportunity to raise questions and concerns with the design and make changes in real time – even the smallest details were addressed. Adding a garage door with a rustic feel to the man cave adds light as well as character that complements the space. This design won Best Architectural Design of a Single Family Detached Home in the NAHB 2017 Nationals and a Merit Award in the 2017 Gold Nugget Awards.
The Overlook at FireRock
This home design includes multiple outdoor enclaves that create an inviting indoor-outdoor connection. During the charette process, BSB Design and the client’s team had an opportunity to consider all of the potential amenities and connectivity of these spaces to ensure we made the most of these expanded living areas. The variety of living spaces allows this design to meet the different needs and expectations of the projected homebuyer, earning The Overlook at FireRock a Merit Award in the 2017 Gold Nugget Awards.
