Red Seal Homes Breaks Ground on 137-Home ‘Provenance’ on Chicago’s North Shore

Red Seal Homes broke ground on the first residential community of this scale to be developed in Cook County in decades. BSB Design is proud to have worked with Red Seal to design homes for the ‘Provenance’ development.

September 21, 2016, Red Seal Homes officially broke ground on their ‘Provenance’ development – a collection of 137 new custom and maintenance-free residences on Chicago’s North Shore.

BSB Design team members from our Chicago office, Jeff Mulcrone, AIA, Design Director, and Justin Bucy, Business Director, attended the Ground-Breaking Celebration.

“Today is an important milestone for our 85-year old company, as well as for many of us at Red Seal who worked tirelessly on this project for three years. We are extremely excited and proud to be breaking ground on Provenance,” said Todd Fishbein, President and CEO, Red Seal Homes.

Red Seal - Provenance - master planLocated in unincorporated Northbrook, the focal point of the ‘Provenance’ is a Community Common and waterfall which are interconnected with a series of smaller parks and walkways.

Red Seal Homes’ President and CEO, Todd Fishbein, and Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, Brian Hoffman, presented models of the upcoming townhomes and single-family homes to Provenance customers, partners and others during the long-awaited ground-breaking.

“Our Terrace and Villa homes are designed to live like a single-family home, yet offer the freedom of maintenance-free living,” noted Fishbein. “They are well-suited to busy professionals seeking the convenience of Northbrook; young families wanting the sought-after schools of the area; or downsizers looking for a maintenance-free lifestyle while staying near friends and family on the North Shore.” See all models here.

The Provenance development is separated into three areas:

  • Terraces at Provenance – The Terraces are maintenance-free townhomes with 2,081 to 2,664 square feet on two floors, including an option with first-floor master bedroom with pre-construction prices starting from $489,900.
  • Villas at Provenance – The Villas are maintenance free and range from 1,807 square feet of single-level living to 3,606 square feet of grand space with pre-construction prices starting from $599,900.
  • Estates at Provenance – Single-family homes, known as The Estates, offer diverse home styles and floor plans from a ranch plan with 2,948 square feet to a 4,362-square-foot stately home with pre-construction prices starting from $989,900.

Fishbein said, “Because of the first-floor master suites and guest suite features, these homes (Estates at Provenance) would be ideal for a growing family, multi-generational living, or those who have older children who return home on school breaks because of the extra privacy offered by guest accommodations.”
