Cantigny Golf Club
The Cantigny Golf Club opened to the public in 1988 and was recognized by Golf Digest as the Best New Public Course in America in 1989. The recognition quickly placed the facility in high demand for outings and tournament play. To address their ever-changing needs, a variety of renovations have been made including a expanding the locker room and kitchen storage, adding a banquet terrace, expanding the bar/casual dining area, and the addition of a new administrative wing and three-season patio.
Expanding the 1,000 square foot driving range/pro shop building by 7,800 square feet created space for golf instruction and all-season practice needs. Features include ten heated hitting stations and two heated instructional studios. The existing pro shop was remodeled into a golf fitness facility and the new pro shop includes a golf education lounge. In addition to the indoor practice areas, a 16 station artificial tee allows for daily range activity during inclement weather eliminating frost delays and damage to the natural grass tees. An artificial putting green and club fitting studio completes the offerings of this full service Golf Academy.
