To wrap up the summer of 2007, BSB Design offices on both sides of the country contributed designs for HomeAid's "Project Playhouse". In Atlanta (above), our team worked with Dovetail Homes, Ryland Homes and Whitestone Custom Homes to create three uniquely whimsical playhouses. In California (right), we helped K. Hovnanian Homes host a full-fledged Hawaiian luau - in perfect miniature. These playhouses prove that the details make all the difference, especially for the families that benefit from HomeAid's dedicated outreach programs.
BSB Design is a principled firm with strong core values, and employees relish the opportunity to give to those in need. To assist impoverished children throughout the country, BSB Design partnered with HomeAid to create "The Spirit of New Orleans". Fetching thousands at a fundraiser auction, this amazing miniature will add a glimmer of hope to the lives of some very deserving individuals.
The Sacramento office of BSB Design recently collaborated with Centex Homes and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to design and build a classroom, therapy space and personal haven. Leigh's Syndrome makes it nearly impossible for little Maggie to even leave her house, but with a new schoolhouse in her own back yard, she can now attend school for the very first time.
In Orange County, BSB Design's "Back at the Ranch" earned the Grand Award First Place (Best in Show) in HomeAid's Project Playhouse 2006. Featuring double barn doors, an open beam ceiling and a wagon-wheel climbing rail, the ranch is a true reflection of the area's history. The playhouse earned $40,000 for HomeAid's fundraising efforts.
